Following the success of his debut EP Mercury in his native Australia last year, singer-songwriter Yates is back with smooth electronic track 'It's Over Now'. A song all about the regret of ending a relationship and written direct to the protagonist, it starts forlorn but as soon as the beat kicks in Yates displays some nifty vocal work, almost rapping his way through the verses. Toying with some emotion, he's able to move the tempo up and down to match the mood, pulling at all the heartstrings and conveying his pain pretty starkly. We think that with 'It's Over Now', things are only just beginning for Yates. - SJ
